Learn how to cite this website, or any page on the Web, by following the instructions below.
Teachers and students may use material on misterdoctorcoachguy.com for educational purposes. (All other rights are reserved.) If you are using content from this site for classroom teaching, or if you are a student writing a paper, please cite any page you use.
For the purposes of citation, Dr. Andrew Sutherland is the author of this website’s content, and a citation in MLA style should look like this:
Sutherland, Andrew. “How to Cite this Website.” misterdoctorcoachguy.com, 2024. Accessed 7 June 2024.
Notice that the title of the page we are on appears at the top in the rose-colored box—give it in quotation marks after the author’s name: “How to Cite this Website.” Be sure to identify whichever page you are using: “What is Literature?” or “What are Genres?” or “Narrative,” etc. Every page will have a title at the top.
Next comes the name of the website in italics: misterdoctorcoachguy.com followed by a comma and the copyright date (found in the box at the bottom of each page).
Finally, the last date in the citation should be the date you viewed the page you are citing. Websites change often, so it is important to include your access date.
